THE BEST WAY TO SPREAD CHRISTMAS CHEER IS SINGING LOUD FOR ALL TO HEAR

Hi all.

=nayruasukei has this wonderful idea: The Holiday Wishlist Project. That's a link by the way, you should definitely click it.
I thought I'd jump on the bandwagon while it's still fresh.

Here are the steps, if you'd like to do this yourself:

STEP ONE

* Make a post in your journal. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fun to really big. The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.

* If you wish for real possible things, make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you. In this case, you can always just note someone on dA for the sake of privacy.

* Make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your journal, so that others can join in and participate to spread the holiday joy!

STEP TWO

* Surf this forum and browse the lists. Here's the important part:

* If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.

* You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.

There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

However, I'm not too worried about my list. If I'm able, I'd much rather get my friends something off of their lists.

The Goods
Just a short list of wishes for myself:

1. A handwritten letter. No one gets letters via the postal system anymore, what with the ability to send things instantly through the internet. Handwritten or hand-drawn things feel more "from the heart" to me.
You can write about whatever you wish, even something as simple as "Happy holidays". I want one. That's my biggest wish <3

2. A big bag of gummi bears. That'd be the best, I'm telling you. Simply awesome.

3. (gee, everyone has asked for this one)
Love for my dearest, darling OC Nicholas. (If you need any background info on him, don't be afraid to ask) It can be fanart, a story, or a silly song, anything. And if you draw it traditionally, I would love for you to send it to me <3 I'll hang it on my wall and gaze at it for all eternity _asdfgh

4. Speaking of hanging things on my wall...

5. I'd love so see snow. It never snows around these parts.

6. If you're feeling really generous, I want a rocketship that'll take me to MARS where I can attend Pigfarts School. It's only the greatest wizarding school in the galaxy. lol link'd

7. To be able to grant a wish or two from my friends' lists, and other lists as well.
(QED: grant my wish to help me grant someone's wish? WHAT A CONUNDRUM /universe explodes/)
